Talking dry skin this cold, winter day! I don’t know about y’all, but my skin does not like this time of year. Always so dry and dull – and nothing seems to break the cycle. I have tried almost every moisturizer or oil or scrub under the sun, but the best cure I’ve found is Medicine Mama’s Apothecary.
A few years ago, my mom brought home some Medicine Mama goodies back from a trip out in California and I was instantly hooked. This line of certified organic skincare products is all about moisturizing, soothing, nourishing and healing. Zero chemicals, cruelty free, and the Bee Magic is actually so organic that it’s edible. The team gathers raw materials from around the world and makes everything in small batches at their very own boutique apothecary!
The Sweet Bee Magic is by far my favorite product. Yes, bees wax! It’s amazing for dry or irritated skin and you can feel results instantly. The trick is the key ingredient – Melexylem – which you can learn more about here. I wake up and my skin feels silky smooth! Plus, it’s great for burns, bits, rashes, etc. Their facial scrub is another one of my favorite beauty products. I mean, talk about a clean feeling! It’s got the perfect balance where it leaves my skin bright and feeling moisturized.
The brand recently launched a new line of feminine care – Vmagic. The company provides a lot of information about why they developed this product, but basically the goal is to inform women about self-care down there. It was created for women going through hormonal changes. Think – menstruating, birth control, pregnancy, menopause – basically anything and everything throughout our entire lives, ladies. The line is meant to keep and protect your natural pH balance which can be helpful for razor burn, ingrown hairs, dryness, etc. Needless to say, it sounds like Vmagic overs all the bases!
If you are looking for a new skincare line, I highly recommend giving this brand a try. May just be your new ride-or-die-skincare line!
You can shop the entire Medicine Mama collection on their website here. As I mentioned, they run a small operation so some items aren’t always in stock. If that’s the case, I have luck searching Amazon for their products as well!
