Being a creative who works from home can be challenging. The work life / home life line is a difficult one to cross, especially when you have the option of staying in your PJs all day. Lately, I’ve been getting a ton of questions on how I am able to juggle working, resting, and living in the same space. defining yourself in a world obsessed with boxes

One of the first questions we typically ask when we meet someone new is “So, what do you do?” This one is always a tough one for me to answer. Like most people, I do a lot of things. I design, create, coordinate, write, manage, communicate, photograph, blog, etc. My day-to-day is never the same and my vision for Alysse Katherine / Designs is always evolving. But in a world obsessed with labels, that doesn’t seem to jive all the time.

FAQ: how I stay motivated

One question that has been sliding into my DMs lately is all about motivation.  Whether it to be at work or at home or personal, staying motivated isn’t always easy. While I struggle with staying focused, I do have a few tricks that I use to help keep my eye on the prize – whatever that may be. Today, I’m sharing what has worked for me – but please feel free to share your own techniques below!
